Robin Sandquist

Robin Sandquist is a professional and versatile musician with a deep passion for teaching. He grew up in a family of music and music teachers, which shaped his love for music from an early age. Robin attended music-oriented primary and secondary schools, and continued his education at the Malmö Academy of Music where he graduated as a music teacher with a jazz focus.

Since graduating, Robin has worked as a music teacher in primary schools, where he has developed his teaching skills by teaching both large and small groups as well as offering individual tuition. His main instrument is the double bass, but he is also proficient on electric bass, guitar, drums, piano and trumpet. Musically, Robin has extensive experience of playing in various bands and in different genres such as jazz, pop, rock and classical. In addition to teaching and playing music, he is also a talented artist.

During his education, Robin has immersed himself in composition, ensemble and sound production. He has studied electroacoustic music and works with creating different musical textures in self-made soundscapes. He has recorded and composed music for films and produced his own music available on Spotify under his own name. Through these experiences, he has become an expert in audio engineering and mixing as well as the music production programs Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro.

Robin is committed to providing his students with a solid musical foundation and to developing their technical skills and musical understanding. He believes in the importance of discipline and rigor in music education and strives to inspire his students to achieve their highest potentials. Robin's teaching reflects Malmö Music School's values of high quality and engaged education, and he is dedicated to creating a structured and supportive learning environment.
